The problem of deformation of plastic mold products has always been a headache for mold manufacturers, so we must play 120,000 points in the process of plastic mold processing. The editor summarized the following points which are prone to deformation of plastic products. Improve the following to prevent deformation of plastic products.
1. Determine the shrinkage of the selected plastic material
Even for the same plastic material, if the molding conditions are different, then its shrinkage will be different. Plastic molds require a small shrinkage change rate, and the expected shrinkage rate and the actual shrinkage rate should be the same as much as possible, but in actual operation, it is actually difficult to do so. Generally, the mold is modified after the mold test.
2. Dimensional accuracy of plastic mold
The dimensional accuracy of plastic molds must consider the design, production and injection molding process of the mold according to the product drawings. Then how to ensure that the actual plastic mold size is within the dimensional tolerance range required by the drawings is a key issue. The dimensional accuracy of plastic molds affects the accuracy of the final product.
3. Deformation due to injection molding
The main reason for the deformation of the plastic mold during the injection molding process is that the shrinkage is uneven, and the internal stress in the mold causes the product to deform.
4. Deformation of plastic products during demolding
If the shrinkage of the plastic material is relatively small, it should be noted that when the molding pressure is high, the plastic product is likely to remain in the mold cavity. Not easy to demold. Therefore, when designing the plastic mold, ensure that the plastic product is demolded without being deformed to prevent deformation.
